GoAir offers flexible travel without penalty
Passengers flying with GoAir can change their travel plans without paying any penalty and can rebook under a flexible pricing plan, GoFlexi Fare, the airline announced on Wednesday.
The airline has also slashed its cancellation charges to Rs 200 on all bookings under the new plan, Managing Director Jeh Wadia said in a press release.
He said a passenger booked under the GoFlexi Fare scheme would not be charged any transaction fee. But this would be applicable for rebooking a confirmed GoAir ticket.
Low-cost airlines usually do not reimburse money for cancelling tickets; instead, they convert them into open tickets with six months validity.
Under the GoAir promotional scheme, passengers would have the flexibility to make unlimited changes in their itinerary without the levy of rescheduling charges.
Wadia said in the statement that the GoFlexi Fare bundle allows cancellations or rescheduling to be made up to two hours before the scheduled departure time.
Under the new plan, the passenger would only have to pay the difference of the fare amount - the original booked fare and the applicable fare of the revised booking.
