Golden attire on way to Sabarimala

Ahead of the auspicious "Mandala Pooja" of the famous hill shine of Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala, the procession carrying the 'Thanka angi" (golden attire) set out to the hillshrine from the Aranmula Parthasarathy temple near on Saturday.

The costly article is kept in the Aranmula temple, after the mandala pooja.

It would reach Sabarimala on Tuesday and the mandala poojja, marking the finale of the first phase of the Sabarimala pilgrimage season, would be peformed the next day with the Ayyapa idol adorned with the golden attire.
