Hollywood star Goldie Hawn plans to make a movie set in India titled Ashes to Ashes.

Hawn said she had written a comedy about a New Yorker who travels to India to bury her husband's ashes. She planned to act in and direct the comedy, she said. "Though she loses the ashes on the way, the film is about the meaningful lessons she finds instead," said Hawn, who is a frequent traveller to the Indian subcontinent.

The 60-year-old actress, who is in India on a private visit, said her partner Kurt Russell would be her co-star.
Hawn is well known across the world for her film and TV work including the 1960s comedy show Laugh-In and movies such as Private Benjamin, Bird on a Wire and The First Wives Club.
