Clean up the system

Manoj Joshi’s article Epic in progress (November 15), was a timely piece listing the issues that hold India back. The issues of effective political leadership, economic management, dynamic strategic vision and an efficient civil and military establishment needs to be stressed again and again. All the issues, including nuclear energy, need to be debated in public.

Manoj Joshi’s article was meant to shake the government and the political machinery out of its lethargy. How long will this country continue to be occupied with caste, corruption and narrow loyalties, ignoring the bigger picture of a great nation in the making. Our government and the political machinery has become inefficient and corrupt. People need a change.
