Famed Kashmiri cooks-- the Wazas are all set to tickle the taste buds of the hard to impress connoisseurs of food-- people of Lahore.
Come March when the Indian cricket team's exploits would still be fresh in the minds of Pakistani fans, they would be able to discuss the same over piping hot Wazawan dishes like Goshtaba, TabakMaaz, Yakhni and Rogan Josh.
They would also be treated to authentic Kashmiri music and its handicrafts.
"The food festival will be held at the famous Avari Hotel in Lahore. Most probably it will be held in the middle of March," says Aziz Wani, Managing Director, Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC), who is the organiser of the festival.
Lahore is not only known for its food streets, but also the legendary appetite for good food of its people. The organisers are well prepared to face the challenge.
"Everything will be authentic Kashmiri. Besides the chefs, we will be taking the spices, traditional utensils for cooking and serving and of course the folk artistes. The Lahoris will get a real taste of this side of Kashmir," says Wani.
After Lahore, the festival's next stop will be Dubai in April.
Currently, Delhiites are enjoying the fare, which is on at Dilli Haat till the 15th of this month.
