Government staff to get enhanced DA

Necessary orders were issued by the Department of Finance in Puducherry on Tuesday, official sources told PTI.

All the staff would be entitled to the hike retrospectively from July this year. Against 22 per cent they were getting earlier, they are being paid 27 per cent of the basic pay as DA from July onwards, they said.

The Employees are governed by the pay structure applicable for central government staff and hence any decision on the hike and other aspects of the allowance and salaries for the central staff are adopted for the employees in the Union Territory.
