Governor exhorts students to aim high

GOVERNOR TV Rajeswar, who is also the Chancellor of Bundelkhand University, exhorted students to aim high and have a vision for the future. He was addressing the 12th convocation of the university at Jhansi. He stressed the need to have basic qualifications and said the advent of the Internet had made it possible to access any information about technological progress at the click of a mouse.

He stressed the need to have basic qualifications and said the advent of the Internet had made it possible to access any information about technological progress   at the click of a mouse.

He appealed to students to aspire to do better than before in every field of knowledge.

He also said there was great scope for tapping the tourist potential of the Bundelkhand region, which was steeped in history, tradition and folklore.

He said there was a strong case for an airport in Jhansi, which was not far from Khajuraho. Besides, places like Orcha, Datia, Mahoba, Chitrakoot and Shivpuri could be linked.

IIT Roorkee director Prof Prem Vrat was awarded doctorate of engineering (Honoris Causa).  The Governor congratulated Prof Prem Vrat who delivered the convocation address.

He also congratulated students who were awarded medals and degrees.
