Govt, Opposition resume talks on electoral reforms

Senior leaders from Bangladesh's ruling and opposition parties met for the second day on Friday to discuss election reforms ahead of next year's national polls.

The talks are being held between Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, a senior minister and secretary general of the ruling Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Abdul Jalil, general secretary of the opposition Awami League.

The leaders sat down at the Parliament building in national capital Dhaka, where they held their first day's talks on Thursday.
