?Green spaces to be used for yoga?

Addressing local residents the Mayor said yoga exercises would be carried out regularly at all open green spaces to be developed under the garden beautification programme.
Dr Sharma, however, stressed that attempts to reinvigorate gardens would prove abortive as long as polythene bags continued to be used.
Pointing to ecological and environmental damage caused by polythene the Mayor said these effects lasted for a long time as the bags were virtually indestructible. She concluded with an appeal to residents to completely eschew the use of polybags and use cloth bags instead.
Dr Sharma also distributed green coloured cloth bags to New Saifi Nagar residents on the occasion. Mayor-in-Council member incharge of Education Devkrishna Sankhla, IMC Secretary JC Galar, and area coporator Parag Londhe were among those who attended the yoga camp.
