The Gurgaon administration has said it would issue a no-objection certificate (NOC) to the organisers of the rock show Eristoff Invasion-2012 — featuring international DJ David Guetta and scheduled for March 9 — only after the latter offered proofs of adequate security arrangements.

The organisers would be asked to deposit a bank guarantee, running into crores of rupees as security amount, and the same would be forfeited in the event of failure of the show to protect the interests of ticket buyers, Gurgaon district magistrate PC Meena said.

Earlier, too, the district administration had made the organisers of thrash band Metallica deposit R1 crore as bank guarantee.

The amount was later forfeited after the event was withdrawn minutes before it was to start at the Leisure Valley grounds in Sector 29 on November 28. On the other hand, the police department has issued an NOC to the organisers.

Gurgaon DCP (crime) Maheshwar Dayal confirmed the issuance of an NOC to the organisers. The final NOC will be issued by the Gurgaon district magistrate (DM) after the organisers collect individual NOCs from various departments such as police, fire etc.

“We will fix the bank guarantee amount depending upon the number of tickets sold,” said PC Meena, Gurgaon DM.
