RJD chief said the communal forces responsible for the riots will be finished only when a secular government is formed.
Stating that Gujarat riots were a blot on the nation, RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav on Saturday said the communal forces responsible for the riots that claimed more than 1000 lives, would be wiped out only after installation of a secular government comprising the Congress, RJD and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) at the Centre.
"The Gujarat riots have brought a shame on the nation and the communal forces responsible for the riots will be finished only when a secular government is formed," Yadav told an election rally while canvassing support for the NCP general secretary Tariq Anwar for Katihar.
Anwar is pitted against BJP member of the dissolved lok sabha Nikhil Choudhury in Katihar.
Claiming that a secular dispensation would be in place after elections in the country, Yadav said the new government would work for providing justice to the victims of Gujarat, Dalits and other weaker sections of society.
He alleged that the NDA government was a total failure in all fronts.
