The secretary Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (MSP) in his reply, to the query on Gupta's High School certificate, has said that Gupta failed to clear his examination 1983.
It mentions that Gupta failed in the subject of Mathematics and even could not clear the supplementary exam the same year.
It may be mentioned that Gupta had deposited a provisional certificate for High School examination of the year 1983 with KGMU while taking admission in the MBBS course in 1993. After Gupta was suspended from KGMU for arson on the campus, the KGMU administration started enquiry about his credentials.
The new development from the secondary board has given a chance to KGMU to initiate further action. The authorities said that a search for the Intermediate certificate would be done to see the years of gap between Gupta's High School and Intermediate examination.
Gupta is already facing charge for instigating violence on campus and forgery with documents. This development may land up Gupta in to more troubles as it has given KGMU the reason to file another FIR against Gupta.
Meanwhile, administrative officials of KGMU on Wednesday took possession of the original documents in the department of general surgery, connected with suspended faculty member Dr KK Singh.
The operating theatre register, attendance register and other documents were brought to the administrative office.
