The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), has appointed Krishan Kumar Gupta as joint commissioner, a post which had been lying vacant since the formation of the civic body in June 2008. Dhananjay Jha reports.
The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), has appointed Krishan Kumar Gupta as joint commissioner, a post which had been lying vacant since the formation of the civic body in June 2008.

Gupta is likely to join on January 2. He may be given the charge of zone 2 or 4 as the post of a joint commissioner for both these zones are vacant. Two other joint commissioners — Veena Hooda and YS Gupta — are heading zone 1 and zone 2 respectively with additional charges of zone 3 and 4.
Gupta, 58, a 1999 batch Haryana Civil Services officer, has been serving as the city magistrate of Gurgaon since August 2010. This was his second term. He had been the city magistrate of Gurgaon from November 2007 to February 2008.
“I have served this city nearly for four years in capacity of city magistrate and sub divisional magistrate (SDM),” he said. Gupta was the SDM Gurgaon-2 between August 2008 and May 2010.
