Hamidia Hospital: Rs 25 lakh approved for better facilities

A MEETING of the Hamidia Hospital’s executive council was held on August 22 and sanction was accorded for upgrading various facilities in the hospital.

Bhopal Commissioner K K Singh chaired the meeting that approved a sum of Rs 25 lakh for providing good quality beds, clean linen, lights and fans in wards, and blood pressure gauge, suction machines and oxygen cylinders in each ward.

Besides, Rs 2.94 lakh were approved for repair of brake therapy machine used in cancer treatment. The Rs 1.93 lakh initially approved for repair of toilets in the Sultania hospital was raised to Rs 4.02 lakh.

Another Rs four lakh were granted for installing grills and meshes in the windows of the under construction girls hostel. A proposal for purchasing video endoscopy machine for Hamidia Hospital was also approved. Another proposal for inviting tenders for operating a high-quality canteen and systematic cycle stand was also cleared.

The council accorded an additional sum of Rs 48.27 lakh, besides the money already approved by PWD for the construction of 100 and 200 bed women’s hostels. Bhopal Collector S K Mishra, GMC Dean Dr M K Saraswat and others were present at the meeting.
