The Harry Potter movies may be the only films in which fans may get to see actor Daniel Radcliffe on the big screen, for he may just ditch his acting career to become a poet.

Radcliffe, who has just completed work on the fifth movie, ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, revealed that he was looking forward to concentrating on his poetry in the near future.

"One day in the future I would like to focus more on writing poetry," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

The 17-year old actor, who is also set to make his West End debut with the controversial play Equus in which he stars as a troubled stable boy, Alan Strang, who blinds horses with a hoof pick, is not as yet ready to go to university however, for he’s got his future all sorted out.

"I don't see myself going to university, though I already know where I want to go," he added.

Equus will open on February 27, 2007 at the Gielgud Theatre.
