The Haryana government on Wednesday decided to lease out separate land plots to ace wrestlers Sushil Kumar and Yogeshwar Dutt for the setting up of their academies.

Kumar, a medal winner in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics, will get eight acres at Motilal Nehru School of Sports in Sonepat district.

A resident of southwest Delhi and a railway employee, Kumar will get the land on a 33-year lease and at a subsidised rate of Rs 35,000 per acre annually. A district-level committee has pegged the market value of the plot at Rs 95 lakh per acre every year.

The government also decided to lease out two acres owned by the Haryana Urban Development Authority at a sports complex to local hero Yogeshwar Dutt. Terms and conditions of the lease are yet to be finalised.
