This is because Haryana Roadways is about to add five more buses to its existing fleet for the city in a week's time. At present, there are 10 low-floor AC buses in the inter-state service fleet. The facility was introduced in July this year. The move is bound to bring cheer to thousands of passengers, who depend upon the public transport to reach their destinations.

"We admit that there is no proper bus service and people are being forced to travel in auto- rickshaws. However, the new bus service will surely provide a comfortable journey to passengers," said a Gurgoan roadways official.

"Earlier, the city's transport department had identified 32 routes to run these buses," said a senior transport official, stating that these low-floor buses will provide direct connectivity to Faridabad, Manesar and Delhi from Gurgaon.

“Having more buses in our fleet will help reduce transportation woes of commuters. We have already started bus service on five routes. We have also sought peoples’ suggestions in this regard”, Yashender Singh, general manager, Gurgaon roadways.
