The Orissa High Court set aside the state’s recommendation to the Centre that South Korean steel major Posco be granted prospective licence (PL) to mine iron ore in Sundergarh district.

The Orissa High Court set aside the state’s recommendation to the Centre that South Korean steel major Posco be granted prospective licence (PL) to mine iron ore in Sundergarh district.

A division bench, comprising Justice BP Das and Justice BP Ray, directed the government on Wednesday to take a fresh look at the recommendation after considering the applications.
