Justice Sunil Kumar Sinha stayed the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against Ambani and circle head of Reliance Telecom Limited Raipur, Vinod Kumar Singh.

The stay came on a petition urging the High Court to quash the warrant issued by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Raipur, Satyabhama Jaiswal on January 23, last.

After recording preliminary evidence in the case filed by Parasmal Chouradia, the Raipur court had issued the non-bailable arrest warrant against Mukesh, who was the then Chairman of Reliance Telecom Limited and Singh.

The warrant was issued under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 465 (punishment for forgery) and 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 474 (using a forged document as genuine).
