Advocates CL Pandey and Viresh Mishra have expressed their decision to contest for HCBA president’s post.

While CL Pandey is the present president of HCBA, Viresh Mishra is former vice-president and a senior advocate of this court.

For the coveted post of secretary, five lawyers - Rakesh Pandey, Chandra Narain Tripathi alias Chandu, Rajendra Pandey, Dr CP Upadhyaya, and Om Subhash Tripathi have expressed desire so far to contest the election.

Though the one-year term of present office-bearers expired in December 2004, no election took place. The present election going to be held after two years, is expected to be keenly contested.
