sound designer had earlier been quoted by a tabloid saying that Phoenix was turning his back on his rap career to return to acting. He told the tabloid that the star had signed up to the play iconic American writer and poet in an upcoming movie.

But Pookutty’s claims have been dismissed by Phoenix’s rep, who told

that the star will not be appearing in the film. Phoenix quit Hollywood last year announcing plans to become a hip-hop star.
