HI relents; players to resume training

After days of deadlock, Hockey India and players resolved their crisis today. Hockey India said it will pay the dues to the players and the players have agreed to join the training camp from Thursday. Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati has announced assistance of Rs five crore to Indian Hockey team.

In the morning, after team sponsor Sahara pitched in to give Rs one crore to the team, a compromise was struck between the striking players and Hockey India officials.

IOA President Suresh Kalmadi will announce the decision in Pune.
