Hills reverberate with cheers as Anna ends fasting

Ashadeep, a Non Government Organization that had launched a signature campaign in the town to muster support for Hazare's tirade, called off its decision to go on idenfite fast. The NGO had gathered nearly 5000 signatures during its two-day campaign in the town.

Sushil Tanwar, president Ashadeep termed Anna Hazare's decision to call off his fast as a moral victory for the common man. “It should not be considered as a complete conquest as only the first step in the positive direction has been accomplished, however real struggle lies ahead” said Sushil Tanwar.

Members of spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living called off their three day fast after the news reports that Gandhian Hazare had made the government bow to his demands. Four youth from the organization had been sitting outside the district collectorate.

Meanwhile, Lok Sabha member from Kangra, Dr Rajan Shushant, congratulated the nation. He termed Hazare's initiative as the first victory against corruption.
