Ambaresh, a tutor from Buddini village in Sindhanur taluk of Karnataka's Raichur district got the shock of his life when cribe branch officials began questioning him over a call, he allegedly made to the minister.

The ministers office requested India to order an inquiry in to the 15-minute call which was made around two months ago.

Ambaresh, who claims that pranksters used his phone to make the call, said: Neither have I heard of Ms Rabbani Khar nor do I know Urdu or English to abuse her. I don't know if some student who resides at this centre used my phone.

Crime branch officials told BBC "He is clear. There is no case against him."
