The deceased boy has been identified as Vivek Kumar (22), a polytechnic student, who was missing since Saturday and the identity of girl, whose age is estimated to be about 20-years-old, has not been established yet, police said on Monday.

Prima facie it appears that the girl and the youth were friends and this was apparently an honour killing, police added.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem and further investigation is on, they said.
