Hospital employees stage demonstration

State Class IV Employees’ Association president Dhruv Narain said senior health officials were ignoring their demands. The employees were not getting their salaries in time, which resulted in various problems, he said. He further said despite repeated reminders to the CMS and the district magistrate, their demands were not met.
The members handed over a nine-point charter of demands to the CMS and gave him one week’s time to meet their demands, including merger of 50 per cent DA with basic pay, time- bound promotion and uniform. Narain said Class IV employees were the subject of negligence, as they were not getting the basic facilities. They said sanitation employees were leaving no stone unturned to keep the hospital clean, but due to shortage of doctors, they are facing ill treatment from attendant of the patients. They said this had led to a sense of insecurity among them.
NCP foundation day
THE NATIONALIST Congress party will celebrate its eighth foundation day on Saturday. The party will organise weeklong programmes to celebrate the occasion. The party’s district spokesperson Avinash Mishra said the party would launch a programme, wherein workers would go to the villages to establish direct contact with rural people.
Mishra said a Kisan Rally would be organised at Nagar Nigam on the last day. This would be followed by a public meeting. On other days, the party would a organise workers conference in different assembly segments.
He further said the state secretary of the party Chitransh, Satish Kumar and Santosh Rajbhar would be the chief guests on the occasion.
