A three-year-old school girl died in an elevator accident in Hyderabad on Tuesday morning.

Saida Xainab Fatima, a student of Sri Chaitanya school, had her head stuck in the elevator door of her school at Dilsukhnagar.

“The lift has a grill gate and the kid got stuck in the lift as it was going up. We are probing the lapses on part of the school management and if the school has necessary permissions,” said a police officer probing the case.

Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased and other local residents gathered in front of the school and held a protest demanding stern action against its management.
