Hyderabad blasts: NIA identifies cycles owners
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the twin blasts in Hyderabad in February, has made a breakthrough by identifying the owner of the two bicycles that were used to hide the explosives.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the twin blasts in Hyderabad in February, has made a breakthrough by identifying the owner of the two bicycles that were used to hide the explosives.
“The NIA and Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Hyderabad, jointly analysed the two bicycles and established the identity of the owners,” NIA inspector-general Lokenath Behera told HT on Saturday.
However, Behera refused to disclose who the manufacturer or the owners were. The owners have not been arrested.
In 2010, while investigating the blasts that took place in a mosque on September 29, 2008, in Modassa, Gujarat, the NIA identified Ramchandra Khalsangra and Sandip Dange — also accused in the Samjhauta train blasts — by scrutinising a motorcycle used to hide the bomb.
