Sourav Ganguly said he shared an "outstanding" relationship with Rahul Dravid and respected his judgements and ploys as the captain of the side.

"We have been playing for 10-years together and we have an outstanding relationships between both of us and I have tried to help him in whatever way I can," he said.

"But one must remember that he is the captain. He has thought about certain things before the series and he should be allowed to do that and just as other players at any stage I felt that his ploy could be good for the team," hesaid in aninterview.

The former captain said he was confident of making a comeback to the one-day fold before the World Cup.

"With somany runs behind me in one-day cricket and successes in the last 10 years -probably one of the best after Sachin Tendulkar -obviously my expectations will be to be a part of the one-day side," said Ganguly.

"There is going to be a lot of cricket in the next one year till the World Cup...And I am sure my opportunity will come."

Asked about reports that Dravid did not want to upset coach Greg Chappell by including him in the one-day squad, Ganguly said he was not aware of such issues.

"I really don't know all these issues and I don't want to get into it. As I said my entire good wishes are with the team and I hope we can at least pull off the one-day series."

Ganguly, who returned home on Friday after being ignored for the one-dayers, also brushed aside suggestions that everything was not well between Dravid and Chappell.

"I don't know all these things. I am just a player in the team. So, I have no clue about all these stuff," he said.
