SEVERAL IMPORTANT issues including the controversial Scheme number 133 will be discussed in the Indore Development Authority (IDA) Board meeting which will be held at the IDA office here tomorrow.

IDA CEO CB Singh said that all those issues which could not be discussed in the last Board meeting on January 23 due to paucity of time, as there were around 50 issues in the agenda for that meeting, would be discussed at the Board meeting tomorrow. Major issues that will come up for discussion include the issue of Scheme number 133, Kavita Cooperative society
near Bombay Hospital, commercial use of Press Complex land, etc.

One major issue the IDA Board will discuss tomorrow is the commercial use of Press complex. Though the plots at the Press Complex were allotted to different newspapers for publishing newspapers only, of late there have been complaints of commercial use of plots by newspapers owners.

The IDA is putting up a proposal under which the newspapers would have to make payments to the IDA on the commercial rates prevalent on the date of allotment in the 80s.

Other issues that would be discussed tomorrow include the Choithram Vegetable Market Road, patta distribution of scheme number 30 at Jabran Colony, allocation of land to the MPSEB for housing for its employees, Laxmi Cooperatives and the commercial utilisation of eight-acre land at Vijay Nagar near Hotel Sayaji, Singh said.

Apart from senior IDA officials including Chairman Madhu Verma and CEO, District Collector, Town & Country Planning Joint Director, Chief Engineer of PWD, Superintendent Engineer of PHE and IMC Commissioner are the members of the Board who are expected to attend the meeting tomorrow.
