They gheraoed the principal’s office for over two hours demanding a dialogue with the principal in the presence of all the agitating employees.

Later the principal agreed to meet only a delegation of employees. The angry employees then barged into the office of the principal. However, after much persuasion by the medical college authorities the employees ended their protest.

They were assured of resettlement before the demolition of their houses.

The situation at the medical college remained tense throughout the day and the routine work in some departments was badly hit as a result of the agitation.
