IED defused on Rajouri-Poonch road in J&K

Security forces on Wednesday defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Manthar Gali on Rajouri-Poonch road in Jammu and Kashmir, a senior police officer said.

Security forces on Wednesday defused an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at Manthar Gali on Rajouri-Poonch road in Jammu and Kashmir, a senior police officer said.

The Road Opening Party of army detected a three-kg IED planted on the road at Manthar Gali, about 190-kms from here, on Rajouri-Poonch road, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, Shafkat Wattali said.

The security forces cordoned off the area, he said, adding the device was later defused.
