The main attraction of ‘Utsaha’ will be contests in which everyone can participate and win attractive prizes. A lion cub called ‘Josh’ will be the mascot of this year’s marketing fair. It will be present at Inox today and at Treasure Island for three days beginning tomorrow.

Living up to its reputation of being ‘a quintessential fair that everyone will love visiting’, the organisers have added to the attractions claiming they will provide two days of unadulterated fun for the residents of Indore.

From stalls catering to products as varied as automobiles, education, travel to food from across the country, it will cover almost all areas of human interest.

As part of IIM-I students Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Utsaha’ will have a stall on cancer awareness. The People For Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) will also have a stall at the fair. They will undertake a signature drive to protest brutality against animals.

Proceeds from the Fun Zone stall will be donated to a charitable institution. Other CSR initiatives include donations in the form of heaters, coolers and water purifiers for the paediatric/neo-natal ward of the Prem Kumari Devi Hospital, Biyabani, near Mhow Naka.

Free dark glasses as part of the post-cataract eye surgery service and educational scholarships to the underprivileged children will also be given away during the fair.

IIM Indore director Dr S P Parashar will inaugurate the proceedings in the presence of other distinguished guests including district collector Vivek Aggarwal, Reliance Telecom Limited circle head (Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh) Sarvesh Mathur and State Bank of Indore managing director C Narsimhan. IIM-I marketing faculty members Ashish Sadh and Tapan K Panda will also attend the function.
