Two attendents of a patient were injured by the splinters, sources said adding their condition was stated to be out of danger.

Sources said the motive behind the crime was not immediately known but monetary demand from the private clinic by a militant outfit appeared to be the cause of the incident.

Sources in the clinic said some militant outfits had earlier served extortion letter to the clinic and added that it could not pay the huge amount demanded by the militants.

He appealed to the militant outfits not to serve monetary demand letters to the clinic as it was serving the public.
