India took just four balls to complete the formalities and wrap up an innings and 83-run victory over Bangladesh on the fourth day of the second and final cricket Test at the MA Aziz stadium here on Monday.

The end came swiftly as Bangladesh's overnight pair of Talha Jubair and Nazmul Hossain lasted less than an over before the side was all out for 124.

Jubair lofted Harbhajan Singh for a six over long on and then holed out a simple catch to Irfan Pathan at the same spot.

India now have an extra day of unscheduled rest but the intense security measures could also mean more time to kill ahead of the first of three One-Day Internationals at the same venue on Thursday.

The second and third one-dayers are back to back matches under lights in Dhaka on Sunday and Monday next week.

Bangladesh though have more serious problems to worry about.

The dazzling century by 20-year old Mohammad Ashraful took the Indians unaware but equally bizarre was the crash in the second innings which lasted less than 27 overs.

Ashraful's innings was a perfect example of counter attacking batsmanship whereas the batting crumbled once more in the second essay.
