Indian women notched their second victory in three matches when they prevailed 3-0 over Poland. Although striker Anuradha was sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Ritu Rani put India ahead and Rani Rampaul made it 2-0. Poonam Rani rounded it off in the 62nd minute.

Indian coach CR Kumar still rued missed chances:
