India's wholesale price inflation is forecast at 4.29 per cent for the 12 months to January 7, lower than the previous week's 4.40 per cent, a Reuters poll of 11 analysts showed on Thursday.
The government is expected to release the latest data on Friday at about 12 p.m. (0630 GMT).
TheRBI raised its key short-term interest rate by 25 basis points to 5.25 per cent in October, citing inflation pressures caused by high oil prices. It holds its next policy meeting on January 24.
