Indian Govt to reconsider arms supply
The CPI (M) also asked the Govt to take a 'firm stand' on restoration of democracy in the Kingdom.
The CPI (M) on Sunday asked the government to reconsider its decision to resume arms supply to Nepal and said it should also take a "firm stand" on restoration of democracy in the Himalayan Kingdom.

"Nepal King had met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Jakarta, following which the government had said the King had promised a roadmap to democracy on the basis of which military supplies were resumed.
"Three to four months have passed now and we have former Prime Minister Sher Singh Deuba being sent to prison on corruption charges for two years, student leaders arrested on sedition charges, the right of association of government employees suppressed and many activists put behind bars," CPI (M) General Secretary Prakash Karat told reporters in New Delhi.
He said there was a growing realisation among the people of Nepal that "monarchy is incompatible with a democratic set up. That the King and democracy cannot go together".
Keeping this mind, the CPI (M) leader said the UPA government should "reconsider its stand of resuming military supplies and for a firm stand in support of restoration of democracy there".
