'Indians familiar with Aussie tactics'
Steve Waugh said that the Aussies would face a stiffer challenge in the second Test as the Indians are familiar with their tactics.
Former Australian captain Steve Waugh on Wednesday said that the World Champions would face a much stiffer challenge in the second cricket Test in Chennai as the Indians are now familiar with their tactics.
"This time around as the Australians prepare for the second Test, they find themselves facing a much tougher battle now that the tactics have been laid down," Waugh said.
"For Australia's bowlers, in particular, the challenge they faced in Bangalore will be greater in Chennai because the Indians now know what Australia's game plan is.
"They know the bowling will be stump to stump in the search for lbws or bowled dismissals and the Indians will plan to counteract this by getting forward and playing as straight as possible," Waugh wrote in his column in 'Daily Telegraph'.
Looking back to the first Test which Australia won by a huge 217 runs, Waugh said the home team appeared to be "tense and under pressure" ahead of that match.
"Australia went in to the Bangalore Test as a relaxed, confident unit but India looked tense, under pressure and burdened by the favouritism tag.
