Indo-UK immigration offenders MoU extended

A MoU between India UK on return of Indian immigration offenders from Britain has been extended by one more year.

A Memorandum of Understanding between India and the UK on return of Indian immigration offenders from Britain has been extended by one more year till January 29, 2007.

Further extension for one year was signed on July 21 by the representatives of the two governments, a Home Ministry spokesman said.

The MoU was signed at ministerial level meeting between the two governments on January 30,2004 for one year, he said.

In February 2005, it was renewed for a further period of one year ending January 29 this year.
