Indore beat Raipur, enter quarterfinals

Batting first, hosts Indore in their first innings scored 327 runs. Rohan Shrivastava was unlucky to miss his century by three runs that included 14 boundaries and two sixes.

Sathyam Choudhry made 79 runs with two boundaries and Ankur Palanpure’s 48 with six boundaries helped their team pile up 327.

Shishir Pande took six wickets for 79 runs and Sridhar Iyer two wickets for 68 runs. In reply, Raipur division could score 280 runs and conceded a 47-run first inning lead. Shridhar Iyer and Vishal added 116 runs for their first wicket partnership and both scored half centuries. Shridhar scored 50 with six boundaries and Vishal’s 59 had seven boundaries. Abhishek Jain contributed 22 and Satyam Singh swung his bat to score a brisk 57 with seven boundaries and three sixes.

Devanand Chourasia and Madhur Nahar took five and four wickets for 78 and 85 runs respectively to help their team take the first innings lead.

Himalay Sagar, after failing in the first innings, made 100 runs with 15 hits to the ropes in the second innings. Indore piled up 282 runs in 60 overs. Ram Singh (39) and Satyam Choudhry (35) were the main scorers. In second innings, Raipur division could score 117/4 and lost the match on the basis of conceding first innings lead.
