The Municipal Council of Gurgaon (MCG) election is scheduled to be held on May 15. Udyog Vihar, which houses several industrial units, is currently under the control of Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation (HSIIDC).
“The MCG is soon to become a democratic body whereas HSIIDC is bureaucratic. They (HSIIDC) have no right to govern or control us. They arbitrarily increase the maintenance charges, and slap show-cause notices,” said Colonel Raj Singla, president, Chambers of Industries of Udyog Vihar.
Recently, Huda has announced that it will transfer all Gurgaon sector to the MCG. But no such order has been given with regards to the industrial township of Udyog Vihar.
The industry body said it will stage a sit-in outside the HSIIDC office on May 5 to protest against the “highhandedness” of the HSIIDC.
