The crime which resembles the story of a B-grade Bollywood flick took place five years ago, when a teenaged worker in a 'bindi' manufacturing unit in the city, allegedly driven by indifference shown by the factory owner's niece towards him, killed a fellow worker alleged to be the love-interest of the girl.

Vikas, a labourer at the factory, was stabbed by scissors in a moving train near Ghewra railway station on the night of October 31, 2003. His body was recovered the next day from the railway track.

During initial investigations by the Delhi Police it came to light that the convict was allegedly infatuated with the niece of Factory owner Deepak Gupta.

But she discouraged his repeated advances and instead allegedly got involved with a fellow worker at the factory. Their affair came to the knowledge of the convict.

On the night of the crime, the convict along with Vikas was going home in a train. On the way, using a blade of scissors and a knife, the convict stabbed Vikas multiple times which proved fatal, killing him instantly. Throwing his body on the tracks, convict rushed to his friends demanding some money to escape from here.
