Internal security not to be compromised: Pranab

The country's internal security will not be compromised under the Indo-US nuclear deal and national interest will be upheld while committing to the agreement, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in Gwalior on Tuesday.
"No deal (Indo-US agreement) will be struck at the cost of country's internal security," Mukherjee told reporters.
The deal is yet to be made and national interests will be upheld, he said adding the US was also in the process of making some amendments in its law.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had already clarified India's position on the deal recently, said the minister who was in Gwalior to attend a function.
