Iran has been insisting on some enrichment even if it is only on a small scale research level.
Iran and Russia had a series of talks in Moscow earlier this month during which Moscow offered setting up a joint venture on Russian soil and insisted on restoration of status quo by Tehran that existed before last vote by the UN nuclear watchdog's Board of Governors meeting in Vienna.
The conversation between the Prime Minister and the Russian President took place late last night and the two leaders discussed implementation of areas of cooperation identified during their last Summit meeting in Moscow in December 2005 ahead of the forthcoming visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov later this month.
