Israeli delegation visits RGPV

A DELEGATION of experts from the Israeli Solar Energy company, EDIG Construction Management Limited, visited the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) on Tuesday.

A DELEGATION of experts from the Israeli Solar Energy company, EDIG Construction Management Limited, visited the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) on Tuesday.

The delegation, headed by general manager of the company J Fried, included the solar project manager Dr Pinchas Doron. The team exchanged ideas and expertise in the field of solar hybrid power plant technologies.

RGPV is preparing a plan to established solar wind hybrid system to generate 1MW of electricity, which would be further supplemented by bio-diesel electric generators for the peak load demand of the campus.

The Israeli company has successfully developed solar hybrid systems using solar energy concentration devices and the university is looking forward in collaboration with and cooperation of the company to make the project of self-sufficiency in power a reality.

The team met director of the University Institute of Technology of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Dr V K Sethi, dean Prof S N Verma, advisors B B Shrivastava, Col P M Das, head of applied physics department Dr Poornima Khare, deputy registrar Dr Mukesh Pandey, lecturer of IT Dr Sanjeev Sharma and others. Vice-president of ENTEGRA Dr Abhaya Swaroop and vice-president of Shree Maheshwar Hydel Power Corporation Limited accompanied the team.
