Gautam Gambhir became hot property on Saturday afternoon, and no wonder. The Delhi opener has been picked to take on the formidable Aussie attack in the last Test of the ongoing series in Mumbai.

It is not an easy job for the youngster, who, from preparing for the Ranji Trophy season, suddenly finds himself packing his bags and heading for Mumbai, to face the new ball for a batting line-up that is struggling to find its feet.

"I am very excited," said the young left-hander when contacted by the Hindustan Times.

"I have been scoring consistently and doing well for both India A and Delhi, so this call-up is not really a surprise.

"You need to be mentally tough," he says about what change of approach between first-class and Test cricket.

"It is not going to be easy in Mumbai, but what I have learned of international cricket tells me that you need to be mentally tough. It is more of a mental game at this level.
