Indian Union Muslim League would contest 11 seats in six states in the Lok Sabha elections and 18 seats in assembly polls in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, party General Secretary E Ahmed said today.

Besides two seats in Kerala and one in Tamil Nadu which had already been announced, the IUML would contest three Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, two each in Bihar and Karnataka and one in Andhra Pradesh, he told reporters here.
The party would also field its candidates from nine seats each in assembly elections in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Ahamed said.
IUML would contest Faizabad, Saharanpur and Hapur seats in UP, Bellia and Bhagalpur in Bihar, Gulberga and Mangalore in Karnataka and Secunderabad in AP in the Lok Sabha elections, he said, adding the party may contest some more seats and they would be announced later.
