Jammu and Kashmir has ordered a probe into ration cards obtained fraudulently after detection of such cases in the state relief department.

The department has ordered a probe and decided to refer the detection of fraudulent ration cards to crime branch for carrying a thorough investigation, an official of the department said on Sunday.
During raids conducted in various zones by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Vinod Kaul it was found that a person named Shadi Lal Pandita, resident of Jagti has fraudulently obtained migrant ration cards in different zones for himself and other family members, he said.
After being interrogated Pandita said he has been availing this facility for more than a decade, he said.
