Jaiswal was reviewing the progress of various schemes funded by the Central government here on Saturday. The schemes included sanitation campaign, land development, integrated waste land development, Indira Awas Yojna, Swarn Jayanti Swarojgar Yojna, DRDA and Sampoorn Gramin Rojgar Yojna .
When asked asked about the progress of the Swarn Jayanti Swarojgar Yojna, he was shocked to know that 336 families received benefits from the scheme and constructed houses were ensured to them.
Jaiswal said that the Swarn Jayanti Swarojgar Yojna was meant for self-employment, and the houses were not to be given under this scheme as Indira Awas Yojna was already present.
Jaiswal directed the officials to come prepared for the next meeting. Similarly, unable to get adequate details about several other schemes, Jaiswal asked the officials to come prepared for next meeting. Jaiswal also asked the block pramukhs to do physical verification of all the schemes and make suggestions for the better management of the schemes.
Those present in the meeting included CDO, DDO, Jal Nigam officials, block pramukhs and officials of other departments concerned.
